Cash Product Office The mission of Federal Reserve Cash Services (FedCash® Services) is to supply currency and coin to meet both domestic and international demand, maintain the quality and integrity of currency and coin in circulation, and ensure Depository Institutions have ready access to Cash Services. The Cash Product Office’s (CPO) primary goal in meeting our mission is to maintain confidence in U.S. currency through well-controlled operations with sufficient capacity to meet the daily needs of the marketplace and in times of stress. NextGen To accomplish its mission, we at the Federal Reserve Cash Operations rely on sophisticated automation tools to quickly and efficiently process the millions of notes received every single day. NextGen is a multi-year initiative to upgrade high-speed currency processing equipment and technology in Cash offices across the Federal Reserve System.

Overview:

CPO Finance team members work collaboratively to support all financial aspects of FedCash® Services. Through our deep understanding of financial management we enable informed decision-making and strong stewardship. In this key position, you will provide dedicated financial management support to the NextGen program, and project-based support to other areas of the FedCash® Services finance function.

Highlights of Responsibilities: 

  • You will support the long-range planning for the NextGen program by providing advanced financial management support.
  • You will serve as the knowledge source for Federal Reserve budget and accounting methodologies and associated financial and accounting data systems, while developing a comprehensive operational understanding of the NextGen program to provide advice to management as necessary.
  • You will collaborate with NextGen program/project team members to support funding requirements, track progress against established program/project budgets, develop reporting tools to improve cost management, and provide insight into trends and potential risks/opportunities.
  • You will provide backup support to other CPO Finance team members to gain exposure to our National Cash Automation (NCA) software application portfolio; the 4th and 12th CPO budgets; Reserve Bank Cash budgets; and the Nationally Provided Support Services (NPSS) budget.
  • You will continuously find opportunities for improvement in existing financial processes and reports.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Green Card holder with the intent to become a citizen;
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college or university, finance/accounting concentrations preferred;
  • 6+ years of related work experience in an accounting or finance role; Big 4 experience a plus;
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, proficiency with financial modeling tools, particularly Microsoft Excel;
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize, show initiative, and respond quickly; experience in leading/facilitating project meetings with key business partners/senior managers;
  • Ability to articulate and communicate detailed information clearly and accurately through both written and verbal communication forms;
  • Shown ability to collaborate within and across teams, collectively generate new ideas, problem-solve, share expertise, and actively support teammates to achieve goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience interacting with partners of varying seniority
