Regulatory Consulting - Manager Role

Chatham Financial provides regulatory consulting solutions to financial institutions and other corporations who face regulatory and compliance challenges as a result of participating in the capital markets. These consulting solutions include in-depth review and analysis of clients’ data, technology, processes & procedures, and program management.

We are looking to expand our capabilities by hiring a manager-level consultant to manage the day-to-day engagement execution of our consulting projects including team management and mentoring. Specifically, we are looking for an individual who can undertake the following responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of relevant regulations.
  • Review documents/records/data and interview client personnel.
  • Perform quantitative and/or qualitative analysis.
  • Guide junior staff in related work.
  • Advise clients on derivatives regulatory compliance matters, particularly concerning Dodd-Frank and equivalent international regulation.
  • Develop client deliverables.
  • Guide project delivery including coaching and managing the project team.
  • Coordinate day-to-day project activities and ensure project progresses as per plan.
  • Identify and manage project change, risks, and issues.
  • Manage day to day communications with client, from staff through senior stakeholders.
  • Guide project staff to adhere to project management and delivery methodology.
  • Maintain project management artifacts.
  • Track and report on project costs against budget, and recommend proactive adjustments to adhere to budget.
  • Assist in the development of practice and solutions including creation of business development materials.
  • Other responsibilities assigned by management.

For this role, we are specifically seeking candidates who have the following experience and skills:


  • A bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Background in management consulting with an advisory firm, with experience in regulatory, compliance, or technology consulting in financial services.
  • 2 -3 years of working experience in managing “complex” projects (i.e., characterized by one or more of the following: ambiguity, uncertainty, significant influences outside of one’s control, delicate team/stakeholder dynamic, large budget and work scope, aggressive timeline, etc.).
  • Strong ability to problem-solve, make sound decisions, and resolve conflict.
  • History of effective and open communication and collaboration, both verbal and written.
  • Proven track record in working with senior leadership (e.g., Managing Director / VP / C-level).
  • Ability to travel up to 80% based on client requests/commitments (projects typically require less than 50% travel).
  • Availability to work in Chatham’s Kennett Square, PA office when not travelling


  • Project Management Professional® certification from the Project Management Institute.
  • Experience working in capital markets, Dodd-Frank and/or international derivatives regulation.
  • Ability to mentor and coach junior team members.
  • Ability to develop effective PowerPoint presentations.
