Description


riskmethods is seeking a Vice President of Sales to join the team in our Boston office!

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic player-coach that thrives in both talent management and sales leadership with the ability to execute on both short-term goals and a long-term vision. With 5+ years of experience spearheading an enterprise sales organization, you have increased revenue year over year and developed prosperous teams in a startup or high-growth environment. Reporting directly to one of the company’s founders and managing directors, your primary focus will be to drive revenue growth in North America through a combination of new logo acquisition and expansion within our customer base. You’ll inspire, mentor, and develop a team of sales executives, helping them improve close rates and assisting in the sales cycle when necessary.

Additionally, you will be charged with ownership of alliance partnerships to both influence our cycles and generate net-new opportunities. Long term, you will build a scalable sales function, primed for success and expansion. You’ll partner with our headquarters in Munich to align the NA sales strategy with the overall corporate objectives.

Finally, you will help us continue to build a positive and collaborative corporate culture and represent the values of riskmethods.

What you’ll do:

Short term:

  • Own revenue growth through new logo acquisition and upsell business within an existing customer base - Manage a team that consists of sales executives, alliances, and pre-sales consultants and oversee the talent management for all direct reports
  • Mentor and coach sales executives on sales tactics and best practices
  • Actively support sales executives in the sales cycle
  • Identify areas for improvement and introduce solutions to the NA sales organization
  • Lead collaboration with Marketing and Sales Development to ensure pipeline health and support demand generation efforts
  • Create a scalable NA Sales capability - Define and execute sales strategy in the NA market in alignment with corporate goals
  • Grow the sales team as dictated by business needs

Requirements


Who you are:

  • Proven sales leader with 5+ years’ experience leading successful sales teams
  • An expert in B2B enterprise software sales
  • A strategic thinker who also loves to work side by side with sales executives in a sales cycle
  • Demonstrated success increasing revenue in growth companies
  • A passionate team captain, dedicated to effective performance management
  • Ideally, an expert in the procurement and supply chain space
  • An advocate and organizer of cross-department collaboration
  • Open to travel, both domestically and abroad to our headquarters in Munich
