New OMP for San Diego

We are pleased to announce that Cathy Gonzales has been named office managing partner of our San Diego office. Cathy succeeds Beth Altman and will assume her new role effective immediately.

Cathy has been with the firm for the past twenty years and is well suited for this role. She has been in San Diego since 2000 and helped the firm to develop the Advisory practice in that market. She has a deep understanding of the local business community, industries, culture, and over the years has worked to lead engagements for a number of key clients. Currently, she’s the leader of the Internal Audit & Enterprise Solutions practice and is the Lead Partner for a key account in San Diego. Cathy also serves as the Advisory Functional leader for several clients.

About Cathy Gonzales

Cathy joined the firm in 1996 in the Los Angeles office and transferred to San Diego in 2000. She was admitted to the partnership in 2008. Currently, she’s the leader of the Internal Audit & Enterprise Solutions practice. In her role as internal audit leader for several companies in the market Cathy frequently attends audit committee meetings and has been part of the Board Leadership Center / Audit Committee Institute efforts in San Diego over many years.

In addition to her client responsibilities, Cathy is actively involved in the KPMG and San Diego community. She is the leader for the San Diego KNOW chapter. Cathy has also served on the Board and Executive Committee of Athena San Diego and was previously on the IIA San Diego Board of Governors. She is a graduate of the University of San Diego, with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
