For the ninth consecutive year, KPMG has been recognized by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) for the firm's ongoing commitment to advancing women in the workplace, earning a spot on the prestigious 2019 Top Companies for Executive Women list.
This award recognizes organizations that have made it a priority to actively attract, retain and move women into senior roles, while creating a supportive culture which engages mentors, advocates and sponsors of female talent.
KPMG received especially high marks this year for programs that support women’s recruitment, retention and advancement.
KPMG's progress can be attributed, in part, to leadership support for women, as well as the many efforts of the firm's Women's Advisory Board (WAB) and KPMG’s Network of Women (KNOW). KNOW chapters across the country deliver programs that help drive networking, professional growth, leadership, personal development and career opportunities for women, and strongly encourage men’s involvement.
Examples include Accelerating Your Career Potential, designed to support the advancement of women managers across the firm. The program consists of a keynote speaker, and group discussions around building skills and confidence, leveraging relationships and enhancing networks.
KPMG's Audit 90 Experience was launched a few years ago to enhance the retention and development of female senior associates in Audit, and was recently recognized by Profiles in Diversity Journal with a 2018 Award of Excellence.
These honors underscore how KPMG’s ongoing focus on building an inclusive environment continues to enable KPMG people at all levels, and the firm itself, to succeed.
